Discover Boracay: Off the Beaten Track

Boracay, Philippines is not just about beaches and parties, there are some parts of the island that are untouched and reserved simply to amaze the tourists and be one of the hidden treasures of the country. Upon reading the following contents, tourists will surely love Boracay more than they do.

Mount Luho
A small mountain where all you can hear are the chirping birds and the wind, it is where a viewing tower and walkway was built. Backpackers will have a fantastic view of Bolabog Beach, the fairways, Blue water Golf Course and the ocean.


Laurel Island
This island is composed of a small beach, restaurant and there is a path around the Island that will lead you through the viewing tower, the caves and the sculptures. It offers two of the best diving spots in Boracay, it is called as the Big Laurel and the Small Laurel that showcase an undersea adventure. Divers will have a chance to see several soft and hard corals and many other colorful marine lives.


Carabao Island
This is a good destination for those backpackers, who are seeking for a quaint island experience, a complete remedy to the wild atmosphere of its neighboring island. 


Bat Caves
It is situated within the forest at the western end of the island and the entrance is littered with many different size boulders. A cave that is best described in a word such as, deep dark and moist cave that is home to numbers of different size fruit bats. The cave’s entrance can be dangerous if travelers are not careful, it has a very steep opening.


Dead Forest
Normally non living things would not attract tourists to visit a place but the Dead Forest is also popular for its photographic location. Many photographers have visited the Dead Forest to take pictures of its still waters and dead plantation. Many photographers have come home with many memorable shots of the place.


Boracay, Philippines never fails in surprising all the tourists, it always has something to be proud and be remembered every time travelers visit our country.
